David and I are planning on blogging while we are here in Estonia. This is just a mini-blog to see that everything works. This photo is of the building we are living in. It's across the street from the historic Song Festival Grounds -- where the Estonians peacefully asserted their independence from the Soviets through singing. If you haven't see "The Singing Revolution" yet, you should.
We're having an amazing time so far and will post more soon.

ReplyDeleteHi Vic -
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear from you. I'm teaching in the Choreography Department at Tallinn University. I'll be teaching grads and undergrads: choreography, technique (co-teaching w/David) and dramaturgy this semester. I also hope be making dances on local dancers -- performing them here and hopefully touring them around Europe next summer. Heili Einasto (do you remember her from her time at UCLA working with Susan)is my colleague here and she has plans for us to do academic conference on Dance and Nation in the spring, which should be fun. Hope all is well with you.
